Fall Round Up Parade Unit Instructions

North St. Paul Fall Round Up Parade | Thursday, September 19

Important Instructions for our participating units:

Enter the Line Up from McKnight Rd, turning East onto North St. Paul Dr.  Check in with the Parade Marshall at North St. Paul Drive and 3rd St. They will direct you to your lineup location.

Stakes marked with your Parade Unit's Line Up # will be placed along the Line Up area to ensure your Unit has the requested space requirements.

New this year

Our lineup location has changed to accommodate the many new residents we have in town. Lineup will be along the:

●  East side of 3rd St.

●  West side of 2nd St.

●  South side of 4th St.

Please review your unit number to see your lineup location. The units on 3rd St. will begin the parade, followed by those on 2nd St. and finally those located on 4th St. Do not proceed to the parade route until directed by a uniformed parade marshal.

Regular traffic will be in the area along each of these streets to allow for our residents to reach their homes. Please watch for cars and be mindful of the traffic.

If your Unit is large and difficult to maneuver, please arrive early. Regular Line Up time begins at 5:00 pm.

Drop Offs If you are dropping off walkers, and others who will join your unit, please drop them off at the North St. Paul Community Center parking lot along Seppala Blvd. or drop them off along 3rd St. or 2nd St. before parking your vehicle.

Parking. Event parking is a challenge for every City, here are some suggestions for you to consider:

●  Municipal parking lot off Seppala Blvd. and Margaret St.

●  Municipal parking lot across from City Hall

●  Municipal parking lot on the corner of 7th Ave. and Margaret St.

●  City streets. If parking on City streets please be mindful of our residents and don’t block access to their driveways.

Road Closures. The City of North St. Paul will close 7th Ave. and all cross streets at 5:30 p.m. Please plan your route through town accordingly.

Treats All units who plan on giving candy or other items, must hand it to the children, or walk along the edge of the sidewalk and toss it onto the sidewalk. No child should be tempted to run out in the street to grab candy, that is how tragedies occur. You will be asked to leave the line up if you throw candy from your vehicle.

Mind the gap. Our parade is large and we need to keep our units moving through the route. Please do not leave large gaps between units. Follow the instructions of the parade marshals in yellow vests. Failure to follow their instructions will eliminate your unit for consideration in future parades.

Turn on your lights. We’ve moved the start time up by 30 minutes to accommodate for the early sunsets.  To help us light up the downtown please use your headlights/unit lights as we approach dusk. If your float has lights that’s even better!

At the End of The Parade: Turn right on Henry St. and go all the way down Henry to South Ave. to unload your unit, disperse/squeeze quickly to make room for all the units coming in after you!  Members of the North St. Paul Police Department will be at the end of the route. Follow all of their directions.
